This was the first time I saw Madonna, and it was more than my 14-year-old heart could stand. I will remember this show as long as I live: all the "WannaBes" outside, the Beastie Boys (I had never heard of them at the time), the anticipation of Madonna coming out. Then the lights dimmed, the crowd went nuts, and her spoken intro started (it did not end up on the video release). I remember Madonna talking about her "box" before she did "Everybody," balloons falling down at the end of "Angel," her "father" coming out on stage and pulling her off at the end. What a trip!
